PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the Merchants, Procurement, Vendors, and Suppliers for fabrics sourcing
• Assist in the process of technical development, pre-production and cataloging of all fabrics and colors through to bulk production.
• Apply effective systems of Quality Management, both internally and with vendors to support the fabric and color development process and assure final product quality.
• Ensure that fabrics, colors and garment components are being regularly assessed against the required quality standards.
• Assist the technology team and partner with the cross functional teams on issues regarding the quality of fabrics and color of all merchandise.
• Provide technical support on issues of fabric and color development and performance to the supplier base.
• Take control of the submissions with responsibility for the interpretation and communication of all departmental laboratory testing.
• Evaluate all new mills for their ability to meet the business needs in quality of product, capacity, and cost.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree holder of Technical Education in Textile Science or equivalent with at least 3 years of practical experience.
• With practical experience of fabric and color development, including production.
• With practical experience of applying proven techniques of quality assurance within the textile industry.
• Have garment product development knowledge and good understanding of the Intimate Apparel business.  
• Good verbal and written communication in both English and Chinese
