Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the ship operations procedure
• Maintain list of vessels fixed, and separate voyage accounts for each vessel
• Handle full set of shipping documents including: letters of credit, negotiation and collection of documentation
• Collect charter party from brokers/owners
• Handle pre-fixture of time-chartered and voyage-chartered vessels
• Prepare voyage costing calculations – including Demurrage/Dispatch computation, Laytime calculation
• Collect SOF (statement of facts) and NOR (notice of readiness)
• Submit Debit and Credit notes to related parties
• Follow up on payments, ensuring timely settlement
• Coordinate with ship operations, chartering and ship broking teams in overseas branches
• Maintain updated reports including Vessel list and Demurrage/Dispatch Invoices
• Overall - Ensure contractual commitments with counterparties are met, relevant documentation is managed efficiently

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Shipping/Logistics/Marine or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in ship operations gained in a dry bulk commodities trading firm or a shipping company
• Solid experience in both voyage and time charters of dry bulk carriers
• Excellent knowledge of relevant documentation, including CP, NOR and SOF
• Strong knowledge of Voyage Charter Party Laytime Interpretation Rules 1993
• Fluent English, and preferably Mandarin
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent team player
• Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
• Flexible and adaptable
