Principal Responsibilities:

• Support month end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting for the local statutory and US GAAP books;
• Be the first line of interface to support the external and internal audits for India, Singapore, HK, etc.;
• Prepare for filing and ensure full compliance of all direct and indirect taxes of the legal entities e.g. income tax, withholding tax, VAT, estimated tax return, etc.;
• Compute corporate income tax and deferred tax provision;
• Prepare for the reconciliation schedules of balance sheets items, analyze and prepare for commentary / analysis for the assigned GL accounts;
• Maintain Fixed Assets registers for local statutory & tax reporting and reconcile to the US GAAP SAP account;
• Ensure proper record retention for statutory and tax compliance;
• Assist in other ad hoc projects when assigned

Knowledge and skills requirement for the position:

• At least 4 years of experience in accounting, tax or audit field with a recognized accounting degree or professional accounting qualifications;
• Strong audit background and knowledge preferably with solid work experience in Big 4 or sizable CPA firms;
• Working knowledge of the US GAAP, Internal Controls, tax filing and compliance will be an advantage;
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills and fluent in English;
• Conversant with Microsoft Office and working knowledge of ERP system;
• Self-motivated, strong analytical skill and able to solve problem independently;
• “Can-do” attitude, result-oriented, hands-on, detail and deadline sensitive;
• Auditors without commercial experience will also be considered
