Objective of the Role

 The Corporate Banking Regional Processing Centre (“CBRPC”) is set-up in Rabobank Hong Kong to serve the region from one central location. There are three major services currently provided by three separate teams of CBRPC under the Corporate Banking Target Operating Model (“CB TOM”).  

As maker of the Loan Processing Team of the department, his / her primary responsibilities are to ensure that :

•  the bilateral loan / syndicated loan (participation) processing work are done competently;
• the standby letters of credit, guarantee, credit allocation, etc. processing work are done competently;
• the leveraged lease processing work are done competently;
• the service provided to the local offices are in good quality;
• good operations support provided to the Agency Administration Team; and
• the team operates in accordance with the internal/external guidelines/procedures.

- Process loan processing work - 80%

- Take on other duties from time to time as assigned by team lead &/or department head - 20%

Job Description

- Perform maker’s functions on the following tasks in a professional manner :

• Book provisions following authorized Credit Committee decisions based on instructions coming from CBMO.
• Process loan drawings, rollovers, (p-) repayments, interest payments and fee payments in systems based on Loan Request Form. The tasks include the following

- Arrange Funding through CCRI and/or local GFM of each local office

- Calculate applicable interest rate

- Instruct Cash Management of each local office for payment

- Input transactions into MIDAS

- Prepare loan advice and confirmations based on customer requests / requirements, with information based on loan administration diaries.

• Process credit allocation issuance / amendment / cancellation / fee paid / fee received based on forms received from CBMO. The tasks include :

- Monitor, calculate, demand payment, etc. under credit allocations issued to other branches.

- Monitor, calculate, arrange payment, etc. under credit allocations received from other branches.

- Input transactions into MIDAS

• Process financial instruments (e.g. L/C, SBLC, guarantee, etc.) issuance / amendment / cancellation / fee paid / fee received based on forms received from CBMO. The tasks include :

- Issue / amend / cancel respective financial instrument

- Monitor, calculate, demand payment

- Input transactions into MIDAS.

• Monitor different fund-flows with clients and Rabo Dublin under leveraged lease transactions and post the relevant entries in MIDAS
• Assist the Agency Team for Midas system input.
• Participate in system enhancement / automation work related to loan processing work.
• Maintain diaries for events which are not captured by Midas.
• Amend Midas based on Nostro reconciliation results done by CBMO in case of deviations where necessary.

 Requested Experience 

• Following positions in Loans Department of a bank :
• Loan administration - minimum 4 years

Education

• Post-Secondary education or above

Required knowledge 

• Language : English & Chinese (written); English, Cantonese & Mandarin (spoken)
• PC basic knowledge is required (e.g. Window, MS-Excel & MS-Word)
• Able to maintain quality work with effectiveness and efficiency
