Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE OF JOB:

To be the specialist of translating company’s visions and goals in all trade channels. This role needs to maximize business opportunities efficiently and effectively with given resources, and to support sales building and program activation in trade channels.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Align company’s strategies by developing trade marketing plans and activate these plans in various channels.
- Identify business development opportunities in different trade channels.
- Understand customer’s needs, translate into actionable insights and activate trade strategy and tactics.
- Develop & execute trade activation programs including but not limited to advertising, gimmick promotions, events
- Evaluate effectiveness of trade marketing activities by channel and create an evaluation database for future recommendations.
- Communicate market trends and findings, translate complex data into actionable insights and make strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Maximise B+L visibility around stores in Hong Kong / Macau by exploring new design or format with strategic customers.
- Develop & merchandise collaterals (such as newsletters, product collaterals, support materials etc.) that resonates with customers to increase awareness and facilitate product selling
- Manage external agencies on trade advertising, merchandising and promotion activities.
- Manage trade expenses
- Generate selling expenses reports to review channel investment and evaluate program ROI.

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:

- 4 to 5 years of Trade Marketing / experience (preferably in FMCG or health care industries)
- Experience in trade activation and visual merchandising is bonus
- Some key account management, or category management experience with OTC is preferable
- University graduate (preferably in Marketing or Business degree)
- Strong entrepreneurial mind set and sound business acumen
- Self initiation and motivated
- Sense of urgency and action-oriented
- Very detail oriented
- Excellent excel, database management and data mining skills
- “Change” advocate (not afraid to challenge status quo)
- Must have exceptional communication and inter-personal skills
- Influencing and persuasion skills; negotiation for win-win solutions
- Achieve more with less mentally
- Good team player
- Relationship building / management
