Position Overview 

Within Unisys Enterprise Services, a Principal in the Analytics Services practice brings significant business domain and/or technical depth in a specific area. Principals take responsibility to deliver client impact applying their distinct area of domain and technical mastery. Principals bring advanced expertise in topics including consumer insight, digital marketing, fraud and risk, cybersecurity or operations data science. Principals are hands-on player/coaches who create client deliverables and coach team members in performing their roles. Principals understand the regulatory context and compliance mandates for their domain areas and geographic regions. Principals bring a broad network of relationships and actively contribute to practice development. Principals play a lead role within a practice synthesizing Unisys points of view that build our brand and contribute practically to implementation methodology.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for achieving client impact by providing specialized, deep, and differentiated expertise. Serve as a senior expert building trust with clients.
• Create and deepen client relationships particularly within a principal’s area of domain expertise.
• Actively manage and mitigate implementation risk. Develop an intuitive sense of how to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder projects in highly regulated industries. Navigate client organizations to ensure support, transparency, and results.
• Hands-on leadership creating Analytics deliverables including implementing data integration and quality, selecting and configuring algorithms, translating models into code, quality assurance, and guiding business implementation of model results, application, or business processes.
• Understand practice level financial performance drivers and contribute to achieving results.
• Actively seek to position Unisys for follow-on engagements and continued, deepened client relationships.
• Cultivate relationships across the full spectrum of Unisys and Enterprise Services capabilities and offerings, and proactively build partnership and joint client teams.
• Take lead generating new ideas and lead development of thought leadership offering a Unisys point of view on key industry and technical topics.
• Develop high quality and resuable IP and sales materials which are available in appropriate repositories.
• Constantly stay current in a principal’s designated area of expertise.
• Assist in the recruitment, development, and mentoring of new associates in the Analytics practice.
• Maintain appropriate senior-level professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CISSP, or similar.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• 7-15 years as an expert contributor.
• Strong understanding of the Analytics Services business context and market trends, as well as how to communicate these offerings to clients – all levels of the organization from developers to ITDMs:
• Significant experience delivering analytics and/or business intelligence projects
• Prefer hands-on experience with ETL, database management, BI dashboards, or application development.
• Data warehouse strategy implementation experience
• Data governance and master data management practices
• Machine learning and predictive analytics algorithm understanding implementing using analytics tools such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka
• Cloud based Analytics design & delivery including- IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
• Digital engagement solutions – mobile, social and web channel integration
• Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Zoomdata, PowerBI, Qlik, etc.
• Significant experience in Analytics Consulting, BI/ Visualization Governance & Strategy, Information Management Roadmap, Data Platforming, Alliance & eco-system management, Large scale Program Governance Experienced Program or Project leadership skills leading technical teams with large implementation projects
• Evidence of thought leadership such as peer-reviewed papers, articles in industry journal, patents, or speaking engagements.
• Many directors bring academic expertise including experience on faculties of prominent universities.
• Technical strength centered on but not limited to Information Strategy, Data Governance & Architecture, Big Data & Analytics, Information Lifecycle Management, Business intelligence, and Performance Management.
• Understanding of Agile Custom Analytics modeling and support across multiple industries.
• Broad experience in data modeling and implementation projects utilizing a global delivery model.
• Experience working with Sales and Pre-Sales Solution Architecture teams.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field, MBA from a leading school, or PhD strongly preferred. Many leaders within the Analytics practice hold PhDs in quantitative subjects.
• Security clearances are welcome and encouraged.

The Analytics practice systematically targets specific domain expertise and geographic locations. The practice seeks people with experience from leading organizations in travel, transportation, and logistics; life sciences and health care; public sector including military, intelligence community, and law enforcement; retail; banking, insurance, and wealth management. We actively develop expertise in Spark, AWS, Azure and open source machine learning packages. Geographically, the practice is building capabilities globally with US priorities including Chicago, Boston, St. Louis, California (with a focus on practice development), New York/New Jersey, South Florida, and Dallas/Houston/Austin.
