Assisting in ensuring smooth operations of the section appointed in the Food and Beverage division. He/she will ensure the success of the F&B division by maximize profits, maintain food/ beverage/ service quality and ensure guest satisfaction

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Knowledge

• To have complete on the food/beverage/service available in section appointed.
• Ensure that the Hotel standards and policies are explained to staff and correctly applied.

Operation / Communications

• Monitor and ensure smooth operation of the section appointed (restaurant/banquets/beverage) as applicable. Maintain consistency in quality of food/beverage/service/cleanliness of the section appointed.
• Constantly obtain guest feedback during operation to ensure high guest satisfaction.
• Handles minor complaints and report them to the Manager or Assistant Manager for proper action.
• Check set-up / mise-en-place prior to start of the operation.
• Ensure co-operation and smooth communication between staff in section(s) appointed and other departments.
• Ensure general maintenance of all operating materials, equipment’s and machinery in order to prolong usage.
• To ensure that the staff is well knowledgeable and applies necessary precaution with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards.
• To be aware of and applies the procedures concerning hotel fire and life safety / emergency procedures.
• Creating an environment where the staff are motivated.
• Assist the Manager in submitting weekly staff roaster / training schedules to division head.
• Checks on staff punctuality, grooming and performance.
• Conducts training and assist in any other tasks as specified by his/her Manager.

 Qualifications

• College Graduate or has a degree of hotel and restaurant management (preferred but not required)
• Preferably at least 2 years of experience in management in a 5 - star establishment / or international property.
• Great knowledge on different range and varieties of teas.
• Ability to perform and train colleagues to serve teas according to its specifications and in a traditional Chinese service.
• Ability to perform "Gong Fu" tea ceremony.
• Ability to upsell and communicate and share knowledge to guest and colleague.
• Proactively provide training to service staff to ensure that colleagues are knowledgeable with teas and skills of the tea master.
• Having an experience in similar position at least 12 months is preferred.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).
• Innovative, Pro-active and reliable
• Able to work alone and within the team.
