Summary of Position:

An important step in this journey toward sustainability is to ensure that our manufacturing process and materials used in our products are safe for workers, consumers and the environment.


The Product Sustainability Officer plays a critical role to ensure that we live up to this promise in three key sustainability areas:

1)    chemical responsibility

2)    production facilities transparency, and

3)    environmentally & chemically preferred materials.

This individual is responsible for implementing short- and long-term social and environmental strategies and goals that contributes to and collaborates in support of such company promise and product sustainability goals.


In this role, the position holder assists us to integrate sustainability competencies, behaviors and goals related to material, product, and sourcing job functions into the commercialization process. This individual will help design and deliver effective sustainability training for suppliers and our material, product, and sourcing job functions. He/she will also roll-out risk assessments, management action planning and correction action plans.

Fundamental to these collaborative efforts is building and maintaining relationships within our company: CSR Manager, Operations, and the Product Business Unit Managers, Developers and Materials Specialist.

該角色需要協助設計和實施相關的培訓項目,使供應商和我們的材料、產品、採購工作等相關人員有所提升。同時,他/她還將開展風險評估、管理計畫和整改行動計畫。

產品合規主任需要與社會責任經理、生產計畫人員、產品業務單元經理、開發人員和材料專家等建立和維護內部關係,形成以上這些努力和合作的基礎。

~~ Designing and delivering effective sustainability training for suppliers and material, product, and sourcing job functions. 設計和實施相關的培訓項目,使供應商和我們的材料、產品、採購工作等相關人員有所提升。

~~ Leading the search for cost-effective and more sustainable materials sourced locally. 主動從本地搜索成本效益更佳和更合規的物料

 


Metrics, Reporting & Communication計量、彙報與溝通

~~ Producing social and environmental performance scorecards to rate materials, products, and suppliers and guide senior management decisions. 制訂社會責任和環境保護的績效計分卡,用來評估物料、產品和供應商方面的表現,引導管理高層的決策。

~~ Developing sustainability metrics for materials, products and suppliers.制訂對物料、產品和供應商的合規評估標準。

~~ Integrating infrastructure within product, materials and sourcing business systems to collect and report sustainability data. 整合產品、物料和採購業務系統內的基礎工作,以便收集和報告合規評估的資料。

~~ Collecting and reporting SMART objectives that are Specific, Measurable and Time-bound for annual corporate responsibility report. 編制年度企業責任報告,收集和報告SMART目標(要求具體、可衡量及有時限)的實施情況

 


Assessments, Audits & Transparency評估、審計及透明度

 ~~ Coordinating with internal sourcing team and external factory partners to integrate annual supplier review procedure based on the Sustainability Apparel Coalition’s HIGG Index in order to ensure minimum social and environmental thresholds are met prior to sourcing approval. 協調公司內部採購團隊和外部工廠,根據服裝聯盟(SAC)的HIGG指數的要求,整合年度供應商評估程式,確保物料採購審批前,符合社會責任和環保的最低要求。

~~ Integrating environmental and chemical treatment restricted substances’ pre-source protocols into supplier sourcing strategy. 環保與受限化學物質的約定標準納入到評審供應商的策略中。

~~ Directing the development and roll-out of supplier risk assessments, management action planning and corrective action plans. 主導開展供應商風險評估,管理規劃和整改行動計畫。

~~ Performing on-site surveys of suppliers to identify and benchmark compliance to sustainability programs, including water, energy, waste and toxics. 對供應商進行現場調查,識別和對比供應商在用水、能源、處理廢料和有毒物質等方面,是否符合公司的要求。 

~~ Managing third party auditing and testing firms. 管理協力廠商審計和測試公司。

~~ Driving the implementation of product restricted substance list (RSL) programs to ensure materials and products meet the strictest legislation globally and are safe for workers, the environment, and consumers. 推動實施產品限用物質清單(RSL)計畫,確保物料和產品對工人、環境、和消費者都安全,也符合全球最嚴格的法例要求。

~~ Managing material RSL testing program that fits into the product development process and in alignment with data management protocol and third-party testing firms. 管理產品開發流程中的物料RSL測試,使之符合資料管理的常規和協力廠商測試公司的測試要求。

~~ Collecting and reporting metrics for corporate responsibility reports. 收集和報告編制企業社會責任報告的資料

~~ Develop SMART objectives and Standard Operating Procedure for inspecting finished goods (textiles, leather) coming into supply chain at factories.制訂SMART目標、指標和標準操作程式(SOP),在紡織品和皮革品進入工廠的供應鏈時予以檢驗。

~~ Rejecting products showing RSL substances. 拒收帶有RSL物質的產品。

 

 Qualification Requirements資歷要求:

  • A minimum of five years of solid experience in social and/or environmental compliance. 具有至少5年社會責任和/或環境保護方面的合規審查經驗。
  • Understanding of third-party testing protocol and legislation, e.g. CPSIA, EU REACH, RSL Compliance. 瞭解協力廠商測試規範和法規, 例如: CPSIA, EU REACH, RSL規例
  • Experience with RSL chemical compliance. 具有RSL化學物質規範的經驗
  • Must be familiar with footwear manufacturing, sourcing and materials. This position will focus 98% on footwear. 必須熟悉鞋類製造、採購和材料。本職位有98%的工作集中在鞋類。
  • High level effective communications skills and experience.高水準的溝通技巧和經驗。
