Our client, a very prestigious and well-funded Global Asset management firm is currently looking for a SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER to manage their flagship Greater China Fund, and also oversee the H-Share portions of other funds under their management.

SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER (H-Shares)

This exciting role of Senior Portfolio Manager, specialising in the Greater China Region will report direct to the CEO. This is a highly visible role, and has access to senior management.

This role is to be based in Hong Kong, and due to business requirements, immediately available candidates or those on 1 month or less notice periods are highly preferred. Whilst travelling is not required, fund managers are strongly encouraged to conduct company visits and conduct conference calls.

Funds managed are running a growth strategy, long only and actively managed.

You MUST have substantial experience in HK / China Equity, and also some experience as a Portfolio Manager.

Responsibilities 

• Manages an existing portfolio several Greater China Funds, including the company flagship fund.
• Portfolio Modeling of Greater China equities.
• Conducts documentation and advisory reports to senior management on the Greater China market trends.
• Stock pick potential Growth stocks with good intrinsic value.
• Conducts frequent company visits and relevant analysis of target companies within equity portfolio.
• Conducts in-depth research, financial modeling, financial analysis and prepare investment memo
• Supports investment team in the generation of investment ideas

Education / Background Requirements

• University degree or above in Finance/ Accounting / Economics or related discipline
• CFA or CPA would be an advantage
• More than 7 years’ experience in the capacity of investment/ research analyst
• 3 -5 years Portfolio Management Experience
• Based in Hong Kong currently preferred
• Hardworking, analytical, detailed minded, self-motivated and results oriented
• Work well under high pressure, trustworthy, able to work independently and be a team player
• Excellent sense and knowledge on the overall stock market and Asia economy would be an advantage, and experience in managing portfolio of Greater China funds is a plus
• Immediately available or on a short notice period due to funds launch needs
• Fluent in written and spoken English & Mandarin
