Advertising Services Associate

 
The Advertising Services team continuously works to provide the highest level of service and uphold the standards of Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal. The Ad Services team is the “go to” people working closely with sales, agencies and internal teams maintaining and administering company policies and guidelines. They must set forth a solid foundation of the most up-to-date and precise information within our organization both domestically and internationally. The associate is a liaison between sales, clients, agencies, editorial and operations. The team provides solutions, suggestions and production services to sales, agencies, and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advertising print production support for The Wall Street Journal
• Offer knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite to assist with file composing, exporting, and ensuring that files are built to specification.
• Knowledge of graphic design. Deliver the latest printing and software specifications to assist our clients on achieving the best reproduction for our products.
• Track materials and orders, monitoring production needs and accounts of a special nature, size or schedule.
• Proactively inform other departments of any scheduling conflicts, reproduction issues, special positioning, launches and exceptions made to policy.
• Assist with clarification and addressing any questions or concerns while in the planning stages for sales and clients. Work alongside layouts, scheduling, and operations to provide position and strategy solutions to meet the customer needs.
• Distribution/packing/invoice processing for shipping advertising proofs and voucher copies to agencies or DJ sales offices.
• Communicate with Ad Sales, Marketing and Circulation to manage barter bookings for the Europe and Asia newspapers. Maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
• Manage an accurate and updated database of customer accounts, agencies, and their vendors for contact information for the tracking of material.
• Work in a fast paced team environment and provide production support as needed to colleagues.
• Ideal candidate is someone who possesses the ability to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision. Act as a backup support to the Advertising Services Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 1 years relevant experience in the print industry 
• Working knowledge of  Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
• Ability to multi-task while working within fast-paced deadline work environment
• Organized and detailed oriented, with excellent customer service
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written / spoken English and Chinese
