Responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor & evaluate rehabilitation programs for children and youth in Children Welfare Home and Social Welfare Institution;
• Provide P.T. specific professional services in rehabilitation, pain management, health education, individual assessment and consultation for children & youth;
• Develop clinical guidelines, protocols and patient care process in P.T. services; 
• Conduct generic health talks and relevant training to partners and staff including caregivers in Qinghai;
• Ensure that all records, reviews and clinical reports are completed to a high level and in a timely manner.
• Advise the optimal choice on the design and maintenance of materials, tools and equipment required by the service;
• Coach team members and coordinate service delivery;
• Develop collaborative relationship with other service providers, such as the Civil Affairs Department and Children Homes.
• Write service proposal and submit project report in a timely basis.

Requirements

• Degree or above in Physiotherapy or relevant disciplines;
• Full registration in HK (or equivalent recognized body) and with valid practicing certificate;
• Candidate with post-graduate manual therapy training is preferred;
• Good clinical knowledge;
• Genuine sound and strong hands on work on musculoskeletal conditions;
• Minimum 3 years working experience in recognized health care   institutes, experience in disabled people service is an advantage;
• Cultivate and pursue Christian excellence in our work and align with the Christian Vision, Mission and Core Values of Christian Action;
• Must have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, initiative, flexibility, adaptability, patience and teamworking skills;
• Proficiency in written & spoken English, written Chinese and Putonghua is a must;
• Applicant with stronger experience will be considered as Senior Officer or higher level.

Christian Action was established in 1985 as a Hong Kong registered charitable organisation.  Our mission is to serve those who are poor, disadvantaged, marginalised, displaced or abandoned, aiming to give them hope, dignity and self-reliance.  Our service recipients include underprivileged children and youth, the unemployed, low-income families, ethnic minorities, refugees, migrant domestic workers, as well as orphans and abandoned children in Qinghai; we also run social enterprise programmes.  Our services are based on the example of Jesus Christ to serve all people regardless of their age, gender, nationality and religion.
