Job Description
Shall take charge of all marketing efforts of the Company as regards to the China market, and shall also include:
a) Planning and implementing the marketing operations of the Company as regards the China, Taiwan and Singapore market, including leading the participation of the Company in regional jewellery fairs and exhibits where mainland China, Taiwan and Singapore diamond traders and jewellery manufacturers will attend
b) Attending to all requirements of visiting buyers from China, Taiwan and Singapore
c) Training local staff in the marketing of diamonds to mainland Chinese customer
d) Assisting the Managing Director in maintaining and expanding the non-China market
e) Acting as the company’s nominated agent and project manager in diamond trading agency agreements that the company might enter into with other diamond trading companies in Hong Kong and elsewhere
f) Directly supervising and controlling any and all diamond-trading/ manufacturing subsidiaries and affiliates in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia that the Parent Company may set up and operate, by itself or in joint venture with others
Qualifications required for the job:
Relevant experience in a diamond trading company of at least 2 years, especially dealing with diamond traders and jewellery manufacturers in the mainland China, Taiwan and Singapore; fluency in English and Mandarin is a must, knowledge of Hindi and any other language would be an advantage, although not required; relevant training from an internationally recognized institution such as GIA, IGI, etc. would be an advantage, although not required. Having a clientele of your own would be a distinct advantage.
