Software Engineer position opening

Introduction

We are looking for a highly motivated professional who can take ownership of the company’s various software development and implementation projects. The software engineer is expected to be the primary driver of a project and be deeply involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle, i.e. requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. The software engineer is also expected to lead user training sessions and provide necessary documentations (e.g. user manuals) for clients. As the company is client-service oriented, good communication skills as well as ability to work well both independently and in a team are expected of the candidate.

Our working hours are 9am – 6pm, Monday through Friday
We believe in work-life balance – overtime work is generally not expected
Compensation package to be tailored based on candidate’s experience

Job Responsibilitie

Involved in requirements gathering and communication at all stages with client
Design, develop, and deploy software applications to ensure project success
Perform unit and system testing as well as technical documentation
Conduct user training sessions where necessary
Work closely with in-house hardware team to ensure delivery of well-integrated and well-supported solutions for the client

Requirements

• Tertiary education in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or related disciplines
  Good understanding of object-oriented programming, web design, and various phases of software development lifecycle
  Experience in C# (or Java) and ASP.NET (or PHP)
  Experience in RDBMS and Web Services architecture
  Experience in web server development (IIS and/or Apache) optional
  Mobile application development experience is highly favorable, although optional
  Self-motivated, able to work professionally in both independent and team environments
  Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  All levels of experience welcome
