Job Purpose

Responsible for the implementation, configuration and support of mid-range server, storage, middleware and database to fulfill the required service level.

Responsibilities

• Implements, configures and administrates servers, storage, middleware and database.
• Acts as infrastructure focal point to support the implementation of business application systems.
• Maintains the server infrastructure to ensure stability and achieve optimal performance.
• Assists to evaluate and standardize server, middleware & database platform including hardware & software.
• Provides 3^rd level of support for problem resolution incase escalated from outsourcing vendors.
• Provides performance tuning and capacity planning support.
• Liaises with external and internal users to provide system solutions.
• Assists to define IT policy and standards pertaining to Unix, Middleware, Storage and Database.
• Supports the Disaster Recovery Strategy.
• Enforce and execute problem and change management procedures.

 Requirements

• Degree holder in Information Technology or equivalent.
• 6-8 years in-depth experience in Unix server, database and middleware implementation and support.
• Solid experience in Solaris, AIX, Redhat Linux, RAC, Veritas Cluster, HACMP etc.
• Hands on knowledge in system integration implementation.
• Certification in OCP and/or RHCE preferred.
• PMP/ITIL certification an added advantage.
