This position is responsible for the researching, monitoring and consolidating of regulatory information related to consumer Softlines products, in particular the chemical and labeling requirements in the EU, USA and other countries.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide answers to regulatory enquiries and projects from internal and external customers
• Research, study and interpret regulatory requirements for target markets
• Conduct research and consolidate on potential application for hazardous chemicals in consumer products
• Monitor regulatory information related to consumer products
• Review client specifications especially for Softlines
• Inform internal customers on the latest regulatory news
• Draft articles for the publication of the company regulatory newsletters
• Provide training to internal customers (e.g. sales & customer service)
• Provide support to sales and marketing events, including holding seminars, creating presentation materials, creating marketing materials
• Other ad hoc duties as required

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years work experience in chemical testing or chemistry related industry
• Degree or above in Chemistry
• Knowledge in the REACH Regulation and other EU chemical or consumer product regulations will be an advantage
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.  Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
• Knowledge in other languages will be an advantage
