Job Description
Our Client is a recently transacted company to be applied to the Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”) for Type 1 (Dealing in Securities), Type 4 (advising on securities) Type 6 (Corporate Finance) and Type 9 (asset management) regulated activities. They principally intend to engage in investment advisory services, hedge fund management and portfolio management.
Now, we look for Responsible Officer candidates of high caliber with the following requirements:-
Type 1,4,9 Responsible Officer:
- Existing/potential Responsible Officer for Type 1 (Dealing in Securities), Type 4 (advising on securities) and Type 9 (asset management) regulated activities; and
- Relevant hand-on experience in investment advisory services, hedge fund management and portfolio management.
***Candidates from brokerage background with Type 1 and Type 4 License only will also be considered if they have relevant discretionary account management and research writing experience. ***
This Responsible Officer will work with the Executive Director in investment of portfolio and/or fund and supervise the back-office staff.
Type 6 Responsible Officer:
- Responsible for assessing potential deals, executing corporate finance transactions, conducting due diligence, preparing pitch books and documentations
- Implementing or advising on takeovers, mergers, amalgamations, acquisitions, disposals, demutualisations, project financing, management buyouts, corporate restructurings, initial public offerings, rights issues, placements and other fund raising exercises
