Job Description

The incumbent works as the lead on system transformation in the Hong Kong office for unified & standardized global sourcing platforms and IT/Business projects by business priority. The incumbent also scopes, facilitates and leads the implementation of various system deployment projects to upgrade the technical infrastructure of the Asian Sourcing and Supply office.  

Responsibilities & Specific Accountabilities include:

  • Lead project management to ensure all IT projects are properly scoped, defined and set as detailed phase implementation approach with aligned expectations over project timeline, system functionality and stakeholder supports to user participation
  • Overall deployment and implementation of IT projects for the Asian Sourcing and Supply office
  • Support business initiatives by delivering high quality IT projects that enable integrated business processes for our cross-functional international business
  • Proper task-oriented project management technic, multi-phases programme management approach to support the delivery of IT transformation Long Range Plan
  • Lead technical solution design discussion with specified detailed system applications landscape on wider international business implications
  • Define technical tests and conduct with user acceptance test, post-rollout system support
  • Mediates in the event of cross-functional / cross-business units conflicts under various project management phases
  • Project governance on functional and technical specifications, to ensure task delivery and costs respected
  • Drive business transformation projects and total operational excellence that results in total benefits in the wider supply chain
  • Partner with Suppliers, Sourcing, Quality, IT and other cross-functional team to effectively deploy IT solutions in achieving anticipated quantifiable synergy results
  • Office automation development overall scoping & planning
  • Project budgeting & Capex/Opex management

Key Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in IT / Project Management with 10 years of ERP implementation and IT project management experience in sizable MNC
  • Solid experience in end-to-end process scoping from manufactures to retail 
  • Certified and proficient in proper project management methodology
  • Strong industrial system knowledge in business applications tools with distinctive know-how across multiple operational functions including but not limited to:
    - international sourcing, ethical quality, vendor performance management
    - new product development process, inventory replenishment algorithm with integrated supply planning  with suppliers
    - order management, logistics system integrations, Finance system and HRMS
  • Exceptional project management approaches, task managements, resources planning and project risk management to ensure all deadlines are met at satisfactory level
  • Desire to work in fast-paced environment, multi-tasked and international cross-function projects independently under high pressure
  • Working closely to establish strong working relationship with related business owner and wider user communities to ensure development/enhancement are fitting anticipated purpose and achieving desired benefits
  • Manage development and delivery resources by demonstrating distinctive project management approach, effectively engage users and manage vendors with a focus on strong delivery capability and cost efficiency
  • Excellent presentation skills with a sense of business acumen
  • Excellent problem solving skills, proactive, independent, detail minded and well organized
  • Excellent communication ability in working with all level of stakeholder from different operating functions
