Job Description

The Data & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for report and dashboard development for analysis related to Performance, Market Share, Sales, Market Segments, Channels, Source Markets, Account pricing, Long Range Planning, Business Planning etc. This relates to performance for all hotels, areas and regions in Asia Pacific.

This position can be based in one of Marriott corporate offices in Hong Kong/China/Singapore/India/Thailand.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE  

 

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Information Management, Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field.)
  • Experience developing reports with Tableau Desktop & Server (3+ years)
  • Experience with connecting multiple data sources in Tableau (3+ years) to implement working reports.
  • Hands on experience developing dashboards and reporting visualization (3+ years)

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

  • Expertise in Advanced Tableau (Advanced visualizations, complex calculations, multiple data sources etc.)
  • Expertise in data visualization and dashboard creation
  • Expertise in SQL programming skills
  • Experience in managing and consolidating complex data (cleansing, transforming, mapping, validating)
  • Ability to manage multiple mid-large sized databases and familiar with database infrastructure
  • Proficiency with MS Access, Advanced Excel and Advanced PowerPoint is essential
  • Proficient in written and oral communication in English

Desirable

  • BigSQL (advanced querying & cohort analysis) skills
  • Hadoop (basics of HDFS, MapReduce & Hadoop cluster) working experience
  • Expertise in structural & statistical modeling in R and/or Python
  • Experience working with APIs
  • Revenue Management knowledge and experience

Others

  • Able to take large volumes of complex information/data and present in a clear, concise and intuitive manner
  • Strong relationship management, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate information to senior executives for decision making purposes
  • Excellent interpersonal along with written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
