Job responsibilities

• Supporting the Senior Communications Manager by sourcing on-the-ground content for international distribution including information, photos and footage for editing.

• Providing on-the-ground liaison between the China programme office and Animals Asia’s head office in Hong Kong and its wider country offices.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in communications, PR or media-related field
• Experience in communications/PR/media work - hobby or freelance experience also considered.
• A demonstrable ability in taking photos and making short movie clips would be considered an advantage. Again hobby or freelance experience considered.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese both verbal and written
• Ability to work and communicate within a multicultural environment is essential
• Proficient in PC skills MS Word, Excel, iMovie and basic photo editing software
• Candidates should be team orientated and able to work in a fast moving and occasionally pressured environment. Candidates may need to work flexible hours.
• Immediate availability is preferable
• Stationed in Chengdu is required
