CLP Engineering Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the CLP Holdings Limited, we undertake a variety of engineering work including energy services, facility management, infrastructure electrical and mechanical projects, lighting services, power engineering, consultancy and training. We are looking for an energetic and innovative engineering professional to join the Power Engineering Branch, CLP Engineering Ltd. Reporting to the Project Manager, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

• Ensure effective project management of site activities including the supervision of subcontractors, material and resources planning and utilization
• Coordinate with clients, government officials and developers to plan, schedule, and set up proper procedures and precautions to meet the Company’s requirements and Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers and contractors in preparing excavation permit applications, site measurement sheets and quotations
• Liaise with suppliers / contractors on the equipment and resources planning, site work coordination, claims & disputes negotiation and resolution
• Carry out site coordination works with relevant parties for cable trench excavation / distribution substation plant delivery routes
• Supervise contractors to perform and complete cable trench excavation works in accordance with the project schedule. Devise and implement systems to manage the performance of contractors
• Prepare handover reports to clients
• Assist in developing junior engineers’ job competencies 

Requirements:

• A recognized University degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering disciplines with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience
• Sound knowledge on project management and site supervision on distribution cable trenching work
• Sound knowledge of CLP SHEQ requirement, Highways standards, Road Opening Regulations and Traffic Impact Knowledge is preferable
• Candidate with a valid driving license ( 1 or 2 ) is preferable
• Strong supervisory, communication, commercial and leadership skills
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Customer-oriented, self-motivated, a good team player and able to work independently and under pressure
• Candidates with less experience may be considered as Senior Project Engineer
