You will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, manufacturing and testing of new and existing products. Using your engineering expertise and design thinking to create functional and asethetically pleasing products, you are expected to work as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team at Accutone. You will engage with manufacturers, vendors and partners as you work on the development of new products.

About the Role

• Engineer parts for tight tolerance injection molding
• Create development prototypes for testing and validation
• Create production documentation
• Develop finite element models for analysis and optimization
• Perform finite element modeling on metal enclosure, plastic enclosures, battery modules, internal circuit boards and wiring systems to meet performance requirements, which include safety, reliability, weight and cost management
• Develop and coordinate material testing procedures to carry out experiments that satisfy project requirements
• Provide input in the creation of component specifications, component DFM, and other technical design documents where analysis plays a central role
• Document technical data generated in performing the design verification test, supporting the project design reviews

About you

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 6+ years experience in bringing product to market
• Highly proficient in operating SolidWork 3D CAD
• Headphone or precision component/system design analysis including mechanical structure and crash analysis and fatigue durability analysis
• Experience with metal structures and plastic component tool modeling
• Product development and manufacturing experience
• Strong analytical problem solving skills and experience working with tight timing constraints
• Strong communication, organization and documentation skills is a MUST
• Electrical and electronics experience is a plus
• Experience with 3D printing, fabrication rapid tooling & CNC is a plus
