Wholesale Manager, China

My client, a Top-tier Italian luxury menswear brand, is looking for a Regional Wholesale Manager to join their team.

This role will be reporting an Italian Regional Director who is based in Hong Kong. You will acquire and develop relationships with wholesale clients in Greater China region. Wholesale occupy 50% of the revenue for my client and they are looking for a right individual to expand and take what they currently have to the next level. My client would be open to good Senior Wholesales Merchandiser or Assistant Wholesales Manager who are ready to step up! My client has a very open-minded management style and a flat company structure; you will have 100% autonomy to formulate the wholesales strategy and execution plan in an entrepreneurial environment.

The right candidate should have at least 3-year experience in menswear, ideally with MTM experience. He/She should have wholesale exposure in China and able to establish a positive relationship with customers. Key responsibilities: 

• Identify and develop relationships with wholesale clients in China and Taiwan region
• Work directly with Asia Pacific Regional Director to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets and promote business
• Communicate verbally or in writing with the Regional Director on a regular basis the status of accounts related to sales, inventory levels, opportunities and challenges issues
• Prepare sales and product collection reports for management review at the end of the sales campaign
• Frequent travel to wholesale POS for training and support
• Coordination with MTM & Training team for product trainings
• Coordination with VM team (their visits and activities)
• Seasonal selection of press samples for regional PR agencies

Candidate requirements:

• 3-5 years’ experience in menswear, ideally with MGM experience
• Excellent proficiency in English, Mandarin & Cantonese
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
• Strong leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Outgoing personality capable of establishing positive relationship with customers
• Exposure in China
• Able to travel
