Our client is a Buying Office of a Major Retailer currently seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager (Furnishing/ Décor & Home textiles) to join the Home Division.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for leading product sourcing, development and evaluation of new suppliers for Home hard goods and home textile category

• Understand market trends and identify new product development opportunities

• Develop strong relationship with buyers at headquarter

• Develop and expand product range in line with category themes and trends and identify opportunities to expand the product ranges

• Liaise directly with approved suppliers to monitor the production process, track purchase orders and monitor critical path

• Manage quotations, price analysis and price negotiations between buyer based in headquarters and suppliers

• Managed all production, quality and delivery lead-times and anticipate any potential delays

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years merchandising/ buying/ purchasing experience with Home products include Home Furniture and Home Textile

• Experience in EU/ UK market preferably with Buying Office

• Product expertise across home category including home textiles, furnishing, houseware, décor products is highly desirable

• Strong project management skills and detail-oriented mind-set

• Good negotiation and problem solving skills

• Demonstrated ability to influence category buyers at Head office

• Success in driving direct sourcing strategy and developing suppliers in a wide range of markets across the Far East

• Highly proficient or native-level spoken and written English is desired with fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese

• Seeking a highly motivated, independent and organized professional
