Job Description

Purpose of the Position

  • Sales Management of APAC Supply Chain Solutions prospect client and strategic key accounts.   
  • Client relationship management through regular meetings, events or other sales activities with clients, suppliers and all business partners.
  • Sales support for APAC countries and other regional hubs in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
  • Be fully trained and familiar with the companies Supply Chain Solutions offering so as to promote and support Business Development of other APAC countries. 

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

The key areas of responsibility for the Sales Manager include: 

  • Manage APAC Sales to optimize sales growth and customer service.
  • Develop and maintain Marketing Materials, also all key Business Development documents e.g.  PowerPoint Presentations, Pricing, Proposal Templates, Capability matrix, Contact details, Sales tool kits…etc. 
  • Manage sales plans, face-to-face meetings and events to promote services.
  • Collect market intelligence on competition, trends & development.
  • Provide support to all APAC countries on Pricing, RFQ & Proposals preparation for Supply Chain prospect clients.
  • Be fully trained and familiar with the companies service offering so as to provide support to APAC BD teams.

Business Development

  • Liaise with clients on new Supply Chain business.
  • Participate in client meetings as part of the team to serve and acquire customers.
  • Collaborate with client to prepare, organize and deliver suppliers seminars, trainings & workshops
  • Work with marketing team to prepare, organize and deliver marketing materials for public trade shows and marketing events.
  • Provide solutions and answers to client enquiries on new services.
  • Work with Program Management, Development and Operation team to establish workflow and align expectation on new or strategic clients.
  • Build clients loyalty through routine client meetings with new market updates
  • Report market updates and customer feedback on new programs to management and program development team for continuous improvement
  • Handle customer business enquires

Business Support & Quality Enhancement

  • Work close with APACs BD teams and also regional hubs in the Americas and EMEA to identify potential client and develop new business. 
  • Prepare and update marketing materials on existing or new supply chain solutions.
  • Provide business support and recommendation to clients based on their requirements
  • Pricing guidance to APAC offices.   
  • Regular review the service with Program Management, Development and Operation team to ensure marketing information are up to date.
  • Conduct and organize Internal training to BD team, ensuring readiness of new service and internal rules are cascaded. 
  • Ensure Business Development documents are available in Intranet.
  • Work closely with Programme Management and Operations’ Customer Service team to assure the quality level of service deliver to customer and work quality. 
  • Client interface through regular meetings to support account management activities

 

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree level, equivalent education or proven experience of business development in global organization and experience in handling global retailers and brands.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of managing supply chain platform solutions and verifications are highly advantageous.
  • Technical background, qualification or knowledge related to quality, security, risk, social and environmental management are preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex client requirements and technical issues.
  • Ability to develop customer relationships, across all levels, engage with the customer to establish an understanding of their business drivers and how BSI can enable them to become more efficient;
  • Excellent organisational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated, results driven and delivers with a sense of urgency
  • Flexible approach to working hours and travel
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work in an environment with minimal supervision
