We are a successful investment company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code: 1104), primarily engaged in natural resource investment, commodity trading and investment in financial assets.We are urgently looking for a Hong Kong-based Accounting Officer to cope with the business development.

Accounting Officer

Reporting to the Financial Controller and Accountant, the Accounting Officer shall bear the responsibilities and possess the attributes/requirements as set out below:

Major Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily investment analysis reports to support investment decisions;
• Manage daily global securities settlement;Input daily securities trading settlement instructions;
• Liaise with global brokers and custodian;
• Assist in preparation of daily and monthly Accounting reports;
• Assist in daily accounting routines; and
• Handle ad hoc assignments as required from time to time.

Attributes/Requirements:

• Diploma in accounting discipline;
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in financial related field;
• Experience in global securities trading settlement is an advantage;
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
• Proficiency in Excel functions e.g. IF, VLOOKUP, Charting, Conditioning formatting etc.;
• Knowledge in Oracle accounting system is an advantage;
• Good numerical sense, data interpretation and analytical skills;
• Able to work under pressure, fast learner and strong problem solving skills; and
• Immediately available or short notice period to resign is preferred.
