JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide costing leadership with insights on cost driver developments and supplier cost competitiveness using systematic costing and benching methods.
• Identify cost saving/standardization opportunity, initiate relevant projects with related parties.
• Understand end-to-end product creation and commercialization process, justify and reflect any cost change with related departments (e.g. development, quality, material, logistics)
• Timely and accurate validation/negotiation of costsheet on all cost components according to development calendar from precost to final cost.
• Work closely with product development team and supplier for reminder/suggestion for better design-to-cost to optimize FOB/landed cost/margin.
• Educate teams (product development and sourcing, etc) to be cost conscious from FOB/landed cost in macro and micro direction.
• Collaborate with Material and Product Development teams for a complete/updated material database to ensure accurate BOM cost reflected in FOB and necessary material consolidation to avoid minimum surcharge.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 5-8 year experience in apparel manufacturing industry, specializing in product costing, product development or production.
• Understanding of apparel/accessories operations and garment engineering an advantage.
• Strong ability to influence others, drive initiatives and work independently.
• Strong presentation and communication.
• Analytical and systematic
• Good command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
