Job Description

One of our clients is looking for an energetic professional to join the HR & Administration department.  This is a very interesting & rare regional position for you to manage the facilities management (office) matters for the company -- HK & overseas (Asia Pacific) office portfolio - expansion or relocation needs, and daily maintenance.

The role is suitable for an energetic Property management (FM) professional who wants to switch from international property management companies to an-house role, with a career goal for regional coverage, including PRC (major cities only).

It is also suitable for a Procurement professional with expertise in new site set-up or building services procurement at Greater China level and would like to develop a stable and less stressful career in office FM & office administration.

 

The Job

  • Report to the Regional HR Head who also oversees the administration dept
  • You will be fully responsible for facilities management matters and responsible to make decisions for office portfolio, including tenancy negotiations, or renegotiations, relocation, budgeting, maintenance, etc.
  • Coach & supervise the local and overseas Administration teams on managing the FM matters for offices effectively
  • Review/redefine FM policies and to manage the in-country administration team or negotiate with service providers for various FM matters for offices, such as maintenance, repair, business continuity planning, etc.
  • Supervise non-FM admin staff in HK, e.g. drivers and pantry lady., etc. (i.e. office administration staff)

The Person

  • 8-15 year progressive property management / procurement career with at least 5 years supervisory experiences
  • Degree in Building Management or Procurement or related discipline is a must. Master degree or other professional accreditation highly preferred
  • Experienced in handling PRC office renovation work or offices in AP countries, like Singapore or Japan, is a PLUS, not a must.
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Some business travel 
  • Independent, dynamic and experienced in people supervision
  • Strategic minded while you do not mind handling operational matters
  • Experienced in managing tenders and contract management
