Responsibilities

• All aspects of database administration, including monitor and maintain database, database environments , track database issues, and provide timely resolution
• Provide root cause analysis for system errors and take action to mitigate future errors.
• Conduct performance analysis and tuning
• Maintain and operate utility software to automate tasks such as monitoring the availability of databases, verifying data changes, and verifying database performance and integrity
• Perform activities related to day-to-day administration and maintenance of database systems
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting multi-server enterprise environments.
• Strong database administration knowledge in Sybase
• Strong SQL language knowledge
• Must be able to work with command line tools as well as GUI tools.
• Familiarity of UNIX or Linux environment.
