Technical Management

• Oversee on the technical services function covering testing, fitting and pattern to ensure orders in compliance with corporate / customers‘ quality requirements.
• Develops strategies and policies for product assessment in relation to technical performance.
• Identifies technical issues and conducts risk assessment to facilitate Merchandising in decision making process.
• Provides training and support to team and vendors, maintains relationship with service providers and monitors their performance closely
• Establish strategy for CAP with related technical depts., merchandising& vendors
• Ensures there is an understanding of corporate requirements.
• Assists in upgrading the “In Process Control“ systems.
• Discusses serious process nonconformance with vendors to ensure corrective action is taken immediately.
• Key contact for customer on quality assurance & fit engineering concerns
• Liaises with customer’s Technical team on any serious technical issues at development stage and during production that may affect quality or delivery
• Establishes Quality Assurance policies and standards for product assessment, vendors evaluations for all regional offices
• Reviews the execution of all QA Processes, in-line & end-line so that customer requirements are met.

Requirements - 

• At least 15 years management experience in technical garment engineering environments
• Strong trading or buying background is required.
• In-depth knowledge of and experience in at least three of the following disciplines:  Garment Technology, Quality Assurance, Sample Room and/or Pattern Making
• Familiarity with and experience of working abroad for extended periods of time, particularly in offshore. Good analytical skills and problem solving ability are necessary
• Excellent command of the English language and fluent in Chinese
