Job Description

Role Purpose:

The job holder is responsible for payable, treasury and bank reconciliation functions for various units in Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities:

  • Settle supplier payment which includes:
  • Do all checking for payments. Ensure correct amount and suppliers are paid;
  • Scan and log invoices to system;
  • Match the amount paid with the Purchase Order (PO) receipted;
  • Liaise with Business Users to clear the outstanding amount of PO but no invoice received / invoiced but no PO receipted / approved PO but not receipted;
  • Liaise with Business Managers / Business Users if there is any query on invoices;
  • Handle claims / invoices with improper approvals or not compliance with company policy;
  • Prepare payment journals in JD Edwards;
  • Prepare payment batch uploading to HSBCnet;
  • Prepare T&E reimbursement journals generated from Workday;
  • Monitor payment term and control payment status;
  • Handle suppliers’ inquiries about the payment status;
  • Register supplier details in system;
  • Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy of bank balance in ledgers;
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing report;
  • Assist to prepare audit and tax schedules in the process of annual audit;
  • Work on payment forecast on daily basis;
  • Monitor bank account balance to ensure adequate balance is available. Prepare interbank transfer if necessary;
  • Ensure adequate funds of Asian entities and prepare funding requests to bank;

 

Experience & Skills:

  • Associate Degree or above;
  • At least 3 years’ working experience in payable and treasury functions;
  • General knowledge on Microsoft software, such as Excel, Microsoft Word etc.;
  • Have worked with JD Edwards ledger system preferable but not a must ;
  • Hands on experience with HSBCnet global payment workflow;
  • Have knowledge and experience on system implementation preferred;
  • Initiative, responsible, detailed minded, right working attitude and hardworking;
  • Team spirit and good communication skills are required;
  • Enthusiastic and looking for challenge;
  • Excellent in spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
