Operating a global network with some 500 offices in more than 70 countries, and working with partner companies in a further 90 countries, our high profile client is seeking to hire an experienced Global Carrier Manager based in Hong Kong to own global carrier management and drive continuous improvement projects.

Your role:
• To operationally own, monitor and manage all Freight Management activities
• Own the configuration of customer facing applications to meet the customer requirements
• Continuous improvement: identify specific problems and root causes, installation corrective actions
• Support Business Implementation for Freight Management
• To support, monitor and assure operational excellence delivered to one customer. Such as event updates, order due alerts, customer defined KPI’s, data quality, EDI transmission etc.
• To support customer configurations for the customer-facing applications
• To own the roll out and training of system applications, SOP’s and internal working procedures
• To assist business implementation for newly developed business
• Ownership of Quarterly Business Review meetings with customer's management and country organizations
• Direct ownership of timely release, conformity and management of the Route Sailing Schedules to global markets
• Ensure strict adherence of SOP, Sailing Schedules and Carrier Matrix by Global Origins

To be successful in the role, you need to have:
• Managed a large BU operations in North Asia (Hong Kong or China)
• Solid operations experience and with exposure in managing P/L
• Deep Freight Management experience both Ocean and Air
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin
• Be able to communicate cross-functionally within a matrix organization
• High result orientation and customer focus
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Good in networking & relationship building
• Degree holder with at least 5 years of operational working experience in global forwarding / logistics Company
• Background in Key Account Management is preferred
