THE GIG

The incumbent will perform a range of analytical and business support duties, be a key project leader assisting the Head of Finance in Asia on preparation of business reviews and regional financial reporting.

THE ROLE

• Build effective communication with UK headquarter, local market finance team and business units across the region
• Assist the finance team in preparing financeal statement, forecast and annual budget.
• Provide commentaries on the financial statement, monthly trade report and quarterly business review
• Provide financial information with qualitative advice on business strategies and planning
• Establish analytical models to evaluate business strategies and project development
• Perform benchmarking reports on key competitors and customers by utilizing marketing and financial tools
• Assist in regional consolidation and management reporting
• Partner with accounting team in performing yearly audit, fulfil other local GAAP and tax compliance in HK
• Review new stores opening proposals for subsidiaries including HK, Japan & Korea
• Prepare presentation materials for senior management.
• Support new ERP system implementation and provide training to finance and accounting team members
• Handle any ad hoc projects as required

• Qualified Accountant
• Min 8 years working experience at MNC with regional exposure, with at least 3 years managerial level preferably in retail industry
• Excellent qualitative, analytical and communication skills with all levels of staff
• Strong work ethic, detailed oriented and good time management
• Willing to work under pressure, deliver results and meet tight deadlines
• Independent, self-motivated and strong sense of responsibility.
• Advanced Excel skills to cope with extensive management reports
• Cantonese, Mandarin and fluent in both written & spoken English is a must
