Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Training
    • Conduct Art of Perfection (AOP) and Diamond Service Coaching
    • Conduct Novelty Training for both Brand BAs & Generic Staff in coordination with regional trainer
    • Customize BA & Generic Staff training according to each China location needs
    • Conduct BA performance assessments and provide individual BA development plan according to KPIs
    • Provide feedback on specific travel retail training needs to regional training

 

  • Coaching & Retail Management
    • Define coaching concept and schedule/action plans with Area Manager to improve competencies and skills of BAs
    • Evaluate BA performances and support Retail Managers with coaching plan and follow up on a regular basis
    • Conduct new BA mentor program, follow up on an ongoing basis
    • Work with Retail Managers to set qualitative & quantitative targets for BAs, to implement them and to follow up

 

  • Leads and Develops People
    • Motivate, develop and evaluate BAs, Counter Managers:  serves as role model working on counter as BA to lead by examples and guide them on brand image and professionalism
    • Elevate BA knowledge on an ongoing basis; follow-up on results, and develop a plan to track improvement with sales team

 

  • Improves Business Processes
    • Ensure to monitor market KPI’s plus process reports to validate operational efficiencies
    • Partner closely with sales team on operational consistency and cohesion
    • Provide reports to Retail Manager to follow up with BAs and Counter Managers
    • Provide input in setting performance objectives for team
    • Share best practices across all levels to ensure key learnings are transparent
    • In partner with sales team, plan and facilitate tailored training that is targeted to develop sales skills and knowledge, with the goal of positively impacting sales results and performance
    • Provide ongoing constructive feedback to sales team and ensure that coaching and development provided is reinforced through ongoing coaching
    • Provide ongoing reporting and analysis of the training outcome and activities
    • Analyze assessments to identify the skills and knowledge gaps to propose performance improvement opportunities and ensure there is a follow through action plan and positive outcome
    • Provide on counter support on novelties launch to ensure BAs consistently promote novelties to customers
    • Provide on counter support for events
    • Gives regular feedback to Global Travel Retail Coaching Manager on requirements and market observations
    • Identify sales opportunities based on shop floor analysis and define the respective measurements

Requirements

  • First experience in identifying and evaluating capability and training gaps with retail mind-set
  • 3-5 years of relevant training or training-related experience, preferably in the luxury skincare/cosmetics/ industry (with demonstrated success a plus).
  • Field coaching experience (at shop floor)
  • Exposure to Asian culture is a plus
  • General administrative tasks (correspondence, regular reporting and expenses)
  • Willingness to travel within China ~70%
  • Proficient in English, Chinese/Mandarin
  • Candidates with more experience may be considered as Field Training Manager.
