The job:

• Works closely with members of our Philanthropy Council and NGOs to identify, explore and assess new philanthropic opportunities for the Swire group
• Acts as Secretary to the Philanthropy Council
• Supports the review, evaluation and refinement of the strategic plan by the Council
• Prepares regular statistics and (quarterly and/or annual) reports for the Philanthropy Council, Swire Pacific Limited and private offices
• Prepares, monitors and manages various budgets
• Explores, identifies and assesses new philanthropic opportunities based on the Swire Trust strategy and remit agreed by the Philanthropy Council
• Proposes grants-related policies, reviews grant applications and prepares funding recommendations for the consideration and approval of the Philanthropy Council
• Conducts due diligence on charity partners
• Supports, monitors the progress and evaluates programs of the recipient organizations
• Maintains and develops relationship with existing beneficiary organizations (including communicating and handling all correspondence)
• Maintains a database to keep track of the budgets, grant applications, the processing of grant proposals and receipts of grant payments
  
  
  

Requirements:

• University graduate or higher with at least 15 years of solid experience in grant administration, Logic Models, community projects, NGO management, board development, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement (NGOs, corporates, UHNWIs and government)
• Passion for socio-environmental issues
• Native English speaker, and fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua
• Excellent communication skills
• A self-starter with drive and initiative, organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work both independently and as a team
