Benoy is looking for a Project Coordinator to join their team in the Hong Kong Studio. The successful candidate should have experience in coordinating a wayfinding system and environmental graphic project from concept through construction. Candidate must be able to assist with construction documents including mark-ups of drawings, coordinating specs, and preparing construction details. This individual will work closely with the Project Leader and the design team to assist with the detail design and construction stage.

Key Duties:  

•  Assist Project Leader with client and project coordination and management.
•  Act as liaison between contractors and client and designer throughout detail design and        constructions phase
•  Conduct or assist in on-site observations
•  Provide assistance in construction administration
•  Prepare observation reports where appropriate
•  Participate in internal design meetings
•  Mentor junior staff by delegating work and providing constructive feedback
•  Develop and manage team’s production of construction documents to accurately communicate  design intent
•  Mark-up and review construction drawings
•  Coordinate specs on projects
•  Prepare construction details

The ideal candidate will possess post-secondary education, with 4+ years of environmental graphic design experience, with experience in small-scale installations up to large-scale mixed-use. You will be comfortable implementing 2D applications and wayfinding strategy into the built environment.You will have excellent communication skills, with competency in mandarin and English (both reading and writing). You will also be pro-active, happy to learn/share, with reliable layout skills and able to confidently produce accurate artwork to a deadline. Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator will be essential for this role. Good knowledge of CAD would also be beneficial.
