You will be working closely with our Product team, Operations team and our London after-sales team to establish new quality plans, support customer product integration challenges and demonstrate expertise in our technical capabilities to our customers.
You responsibilities:
- Independently investigate and lead failure analysis and root cause analysis activities for customer RMAs / corrective actions (CAR); closing down quality investigations and issues
- Reviewing product specs and customer requirements to determine non-conformity impact for QC failures identified by the Supplier Quality team
- Utilising our Hong Kong quality and engineering lab to design and implement technically robust inspections, testing and qualification to improve product characterisation, specification and manufacturing
- Preparing and progressing customer non-conformance communication; NCR, RMA, corrective action reports, and analysing our product ranges to develop and progress Engineering Changes through ECR / ECN processes
- Support continuous improvements to company processes to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and other related standards
What we're looking for..
First and foremost, this is a technical engineering position. You'll need to be motivated by the challenge of pursuing manufacturing-orientated quality engineering and thoroughly familiar with common testing methods and measurements to construct solid evidence for Cpk / six-sigma tolerance analysis as well as prove / disprove failure modes from defects. We expect you to take satisfaction in getting to the bottom of problems and, in particular, recommending strategies to customers.
You will be working with different teams within the company, but as this role is unique you will need have the confidence and self-initiative to be able to deliver on your specific responsibilities independently. Your technical reports will be directly to customer's engineers to help close down problems quickly and effectively. You will need to have a strong communication skills, and proficiency in English to be comfortable to prepare reports and join technical conference calls as required.
Quality is a process driven activity; we are looking for you to be familiar with common international standards and comfortable with the practical day-to-day implementation of activities that flow from them.
For your qualifications, you need to have;
- Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- Minimum 5 years of industrial quality engineering experience; experience in MNC’s manufacturing environment is preferred
- Complete fluency in English is critical for your formal communication and to work alongside our engineers in HK and overseas
- Proficiency in a second European language; German, French etc will be a plus
- Practical experience with investigative lab equipment, testing and statistical process control is expected
- Experience interfacing with external parties; such as SQE or Customer QE, or Quality Assurance is expected
- Familiarity with ISO 9001; experience as Auditor is preferred (training cert not required)
- Hong Kong citizen/resident or other immigration status with no restrictions for work in HK preferred, but visa sponsorship may be considered on merit

Employment details and benefits..
- Full time, permanent, 5 day working week (Monday - Friday)
- Initial probationary period of 3 months
- 9:00am ~ 6:00pm day with 1 hr lunch
- Based in Shatin, Hong Kong, with ad-hoc limited travel to PRC (typically 1-2 days per month)
