Responsibilities:

• Operate optics instruments.
• Assist in doing material analysis experiments.
• Problem solving and maintaining equipment.
• Demonstrates capability to learn tasks in the assigned work area.
• Following Health and Safety Procedures.  Learns and follows all safety policies and chemical handling guidelines.
• Following Manufacturing and Quality Procedures.
• Keeps and maintains a clean work area.
• Collaborate with other engineers to maximize product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Preparation of reports and documentations such as sample records, user manuals, manufacturing procedures and reports, etc.
• Miscellaneous tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Experience in VB/VBA, MS-Excel, C/C++, Labview, SQL, MATLAB, Linux, Python.
• Handling ad hoc requests and projects as required.

Requirements:

• Candidate should have at least a Degree in Applied Physics, Material Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Relevant knowledge or experience in applied optics, laser applications, spectra analysis and materials characterization.
• Familiar with using Zemax, Tracepro, or LightTools in optical system design and analysis.
• Experience with using FDTD solutions, or COMSOL to do optical simulations.
• Self-starter and team-player with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Willing and quick to learn new technology and technical skills.
• Proficient in both English and Chinese for communication & writing.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, punctual, and GOOD attendance record.
• Able to work well in a team environment or independently.
• Takes initiative to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to multi-task and deal with a varied workload.
• Familiar with MS Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word, as well as Origin.
• Good command in spoken/written English and Chinese.
• Fresh graduate will also be considered.
