Responsibilities: 

• Support the Category Manager for all category sourcing activities: supplier searching, price comparison, price negotiation, sample management, project management and factory evaluation, etc;
  
• Communicate with the Regional Sourcing team to clarify inquiries and specifications; 
• Responsible for project execution with milestone control and good time management; 
• Monitor vendors performance, develop and initiate corrective actions when required; 
• Arrange and implement buying trip independently and prepare visit report after visit.

What you'll need to succeed:

You should have a Degree in Building Studies / Engineering or equivalent background, + 5 years’ experience in sourcing building or construction materials, especially in timber, furniture and metal hardware industry.  You should also have good skills in managing the vendors performance and product sourcing and has experience in working with technical specifications, self-motivated and willing to travel.  Candidate with less experience would be considered for the position of Sourcing Specialist.
