Summary:

• Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and supporting network and server infrastructure systems and related technologies
• Provide infrastructure systems support that fully meets the requirements of business processes, applications, and systems
• Establish standards and best practices for infrastructure administration and management
  

  Job Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, maintain, tune, and support infrastructure technologies
• Install and configure infrastructure management systems and related software
  
• Develop tactical and strategic plans, standards, guidelines and policies based on growth, trends and available metrics
• Establish and maintain physical infrastructure design standards.
• Practice and provide oversight of infrastructure asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Develops knowledge and awareness of infrastructure-related technologies.  Participates in the research and evaluation of new technologies and makes recommendations for their integration as relevant
• Advise and distribute information to development teams on infrastructure-related standards and guidelines
• Perform production support of infrastructures according to service-level agreements
• Understands crisis management and escalation procedures and participates when relevant
• Execution and oversight of infrastructure improvements, upgrades and repairs
• Monitor ticket queues, troubleshoot and resolve assigned tickets. Verify with customer that issue is resolved to satisfaction
• Provide data and infrastructure consulting services to project teams throughout the entire software development life cycle
• Review and assist with development of application scripts and procedures as requested
• Guide and mentor fellow infrastructure administrators and engineers and project team members on infrastructure-related topics while emphasizing performance and tuning
• Determine need and makes recommendations on infrastructure-related hardware and software to support requirements.
• Project execution including partnering with project management, risk management, quality testing, documentation and training
• Assist project teams with system installation and upgrade implementation plans, and performs implementation tasks as appropriate.
• Maintain infrastructure access rights and protections.
• Establish and maintains infrastructure-related security strategies that comply with the overall system security strategies and requirements
• Document infrastructure knowledge using appropriate mechanisms and tools
• Produce and manage required infrastructure documentation including infrastructure system dependencies, infrastructure and components, backup and maintenance plans, and procedures.
