Purpose of the Position

 Responsible for overall function of all communication related systems and equipment of the company by providing a continuous, secure and heterogeneous communication environment in-line with the corporate guideline for Asia. The position ensures regional procurement, alignment of standards in all countries in Asia. Responsible for the security of the Network Access and protect company from any Internet abuse, Internal & External attacks.

Responsibilities

•  Size, Deploy, maintain and monitor the communication infrastructure and ensure redundancy (no single point of failure).
• Liaise with vendors & ISPs for the purchase of data/telephone lines and communication related equipment.
• Periodic review and reporting to GM, IT Asia of all host file entries to ensure, no manual DNS entries. Exceptions to be approved by GM, IT Asia.
• Responsible for the IP Addressing concept including VLAN according to the best practice and in-line with corporate guidelines.
• Liaise with customers and partners to build secure communication links (VPN), up on request.
• Prepare, implement and monitor necessary firewall policies such as URL & Application filtering.
• Analyze country network requirement/requests and propose necessary corrective actions.
• Ensure the network and security device are up to date any time. (Firewall OS, Managed Switches, Router OS )
• Monitor network performance and optimize the network for optimal speed and availability.
• Define network policies and procedures in-line Corporate Guideline. 
• Ensure up to date equipment by planning & budgeting network devices, security devices and telephony, procuring and replacing on time.

Requirement

•  Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Network Administration, Systems Engineering, or a related field of study
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in managing and supporting regional network / communication infrastructure
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CCNP
• Hands-on experience of WatchGuard Firewalls, Cisco Switches / Routers, LAN, WAN VPN, Telephony and Wi-Fi, Radius
• Expertise in communication protocols at the medial layer (OSI Layer 1 to 3) and host layers (OSI layer 4 to 7)
• Expertise in PRTG network monitoring tools, in order to analyze network related issues and translate the results, graphs into concrete remedial actions.
• Preferred knowledge and experience in ITIL and/or Cobit
• Fluency in English and Putonghua / Cantonese.
