One of our client is looking to hire Java Developer in Hong Kong

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Code / modify the source code based on specifications for complex or specialized modules.

·        Handle technology and projects within a particular unit

·        Conduct checkpoint review on the overall deliverables

·        Guide / Review the preparation of technical design documents in accordance to functional specifications. Ensure that documentation is in place and maintained

·        Focus on specific or multiple technologies within a particular unit

·        Provide inputs to facilitate technology upgrades

·        Plan for performance improvement plans and drive them

·        Timely submission, correctness and completeness of the status report weekly for team

·        Guide in preparation of technical design documents. Ensure that documentation is in place and maintained

• Manage sections of ongoing projects, help to manage individual teams, closely adhere to deadlines;
• Coordinate, plan and track tasks and activities;
• Help identify, escalate, resolve any technical issues and problems that might occur;
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications and customer requirements;
• Working with an Agile (SCRUM) development approach
• Ensures that the Scrum team is capable of consuming stakeholder demand and delivers a versioned platform.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development;
• Strong Java SE/Java EE skills;
• Solid background in object-oriented programming and design;
• Experience in working in an Agile development environment;
• Good knowledge and understanding of algorithms and design patterns;
• Wide knowledge of Junit, Hibernate, Spring, XML, JMS, Oracle, PL/SQL, Webservice, Mule ESB, Exposure to Mean Stack (Angular JS, Node JS, Express JS, Mongo DB) technologies
• Broad understanding of various coding methodologies, testing practices, and tools and knowing when to apply each method to achieve the desired outcomes;
• Ability to provide support for their team;
• Fluent English and Cantonese is a MUST;
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services Industry is a MUST
• Excellent communication and program solving skills;
• Skills in Agile team organization and delivery, database and coding skills;
• Ability to maintain an ongoing discussion with the stakeholders and partners.
