Job Description

IT Implementation manager is managing customer IT requirements (Supply Chain management, OCEAN, AIR, Warehousing) used our by our global products and local products in Asia and potentially customers from other regions. The role will be work closely with the key account team, commercial and product team. He/she takes the responsibility for client requirement studies, overall solution design, and system solution configurations and ensures the solution is developed according to the IT standard and conduct relevant QA procedure to ensure it meets the customer requirements with desired quality. As part of the role, he/she will need to take a lead to manage the development for any B2B EDI and other system deliverables in align with the specification, on time and within budget.

 Responsibilities:

  • Act as the solution designer for new customer implementations both internally and externally.

  • Drive B2B EDI vendor (GXS) to development base on solution specifications designed by IT implementation managers.

  • Work closely with key account managers to ensure all customer IT requirements are listened, documented, engineered and signed off before any change requests (CR) or mapping requests (MR) is formally requested.

  • Ensure system design from IT vendors or Asia IT development team is properly reviewed before signing off for development go-aheads.

  • Ensure delivery and implementation of allocated solutions including scoping and agreeing requirements, ensuring IT teams delivery, support and development and those new solutions are tested and appropriate training provided and then handover to IT.

  • Actively communicate with key account managers, or customer IT to ensure all IT queries are timely responded and updated.

  • Manage delivery of Oracle SOA platform configuration base on customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in logistics IT, including management positions.

  • Significant exposure to relevant system/applications, preferably within logistics industry, especially B2B EDI and WMS. Experience and good understanding of Origin or Destination and warehousing operation process will add extra value to the position. Preferably with HighJump experience and Oracle SOA related skills.

  • Self-motivator that can work without regular instructions.

  • Independent, taking full ownership of tasks.

  • Innovative, always seeking out new ways to improve.

  • Excellent communicator internal to all levels.

  • Passion for service delivery to external customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Excellent in both written and spoken English.
