RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure Material Quality meets with company requirements form development to bulk production

• Provide Material Quality Expertise to Material Suppliers to ensure potential defects are identified before production

• Provide inputs based on suppliers capabilities and quality performance history

• Work Closely with suppliers, product development team and team leaders to ensure Material Product Integrity

• Review all Material Development Test Report to ensure Material Buy Ready gate are execute

• Provide product safety guidance to product development team and suppliers to ensure all safety requirements are incorporated into product designs and manufacturing plans

• Support Products/Materials Risk Assessment Process during development

• Extensive knowledge of fabric production process; from greige knitting/weaving, dyeing & finishing.

• Knowledge of fabric cost structure & calculation and cost negotiation is essential.

• Good supplier sourcing base of raw materials and understanding of each materials supplier’s strength & weakness.

• Awareness & good power of judgment to shooting & study the solution to solve any (potential) problem from development to bulk production.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 8 years’ experience in materials planning/merchandising/quality analysis and exposure in textile manufacturing is advantage.

• Good knowledge in fabric construction, quality control and laboratory test procedures. 

• Detail & organized mind and good presentation skills.

• Hardworking with good self-motivation & timeline management.

• Excellent command of written & spoken English, Chinese, Cantonese & Mandarin.

• Computer knowledge in MS Office, particular strong skill on use of MS Excel (e.g. vlookup)

• Able to travel around Asia
