POSITION SUMMARY


As Field Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for working with Cognizant’s business leaders and the Marketing organizations to develop marketing plans that drive a measurable impact on Cognizant’s business performance in Hong Kong and mainland China. You are the marketing leader for the Greater China region and a key driving force in business performance.


ROLE AND REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Based either in Hong Kong or Shanghai, the Field Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing, ASEAN & Greater China (ASEAN-GCN) who is based in Singapore. Being a team player is important because the person will work closely with:

  • Cognizant’s Greater China sales leaders, who are located across the various cities in mainland China and Hong Kong
  • APAC & Europe Field Marketing teams for cross-collaboration
  • Field Marketing Centre of Excellence
  • Corporate Marketing including the Public and Analyst Relations teams

The incumbent will also be expected to support the Head of Mainland China with building industry relations.

 

PROFILE AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Marketing Planning

  • Craft a practical short and mid-term field marketing plan that is aligned with Cognizant’s Field Marketing objectives and addresses local business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a quarterly marketing calendar and KPI dashboard, and communicate the plans with relevant stakeholders.

Marketing Management

  • Identify the requirement for, select, lead and manage a group of core marketing services vendors who will work with him/her toward the achievement of the marketing promises.
  • Provide a monthly report for Field Marketing progress.
  • Budgeting

 

Lead Generation and Other Field Marketing Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, lead and manage demand and lead generation as well as brand awareness projects
  • Identify the requirements of specific Cognizant clients and drive client relationship enhancement programs
  • Identify the requirements for and support the development of effective sales enablement tools; including datasheets, brochures, case studies and presentation materials that support sales, campaigns and other initiatives
  • Provide tracking, measurement and reporting on the metrics of the marketing programs and campaigns
  • Solicit new client references and testimonials for your region

Branding & Communications

  • Manage the Cognizant brand identity, messaging, positioning and value proposition.
  • Build and maintain a consistent image and brand for Cognizant across online and traditional marketing channels. Position Cognizant as a leader in the IT and business services market.
  • Effectively manage regional social media programs aligned to marketing activities in the region.
  • Manage the Cognizant Simplified Chinese website.
  • Craft and manage the Cognizant quarterly e-newsletter in Simplified Chinese in collaboration with the APAC and ASEAN-GCN leadership as well as the China services team leads

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-10 years of experience with field marketing experience in the IT industry within Mainland China
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Marketing
  • The ability to establish trust and close working relationship with sales and business leaders is a must
  • Experience with marketing automation systems like Eloqua is preferred
  • Program management skills and demonstrated experience on end-to-end ownership of a project or program from start to finish.
  • Able to travel as needed; up to 25 percent travel per year within region.
  • Organized, highly self-managed and motivated
  • Able to perform at a high level with minimal face-to-face supervision.
  • Takes responsibility and ownership for data integrity and accuracy of work products
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and time management skills
