Job Purpose

Responsible for the legal supervision and guidance to the Company.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently in preparing, reviewing and vetting of commercial contracts and agreements, including cooperation agreement, non-disclosure agreement, T&C’s etc.
• Managing trademark registrations & protection and other IP rights of Hong Kong and China
• Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties on legal matters
• Handle general legal enquiries
• Support the development of global templates
• Coordinate with offshore colleagues in managing legal matters
• Oversee HK corporate secretarial team on all corporate transactions and maintenance of record management system including preparation and maintenance of legal precedent files

Requirements

• Hong Kong qualified solicitor with minimum 3 years post-qualification experience as in-house counsel; preferable in Entertainment or media company
• Good knowledge of Hong Kong and PRC laws and regulations including commercial and company law
• Strong practical experience with commercial and corporate contracts of all types
• Strong understanding of IP, global international trade, finance and commercial issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team player and can readily lead colleagues to complete required tasks.
• Good in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
• Proficient in MS office applications.
