Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Complete and dispatch pricing in response to RFPs and tariff queries (inbound, outbound and freight requests), including the assessment of costs and resulting profitability of pricing;
• Ensure all queries are responded to in a timely basis;
• Maintain Air & Sea Freight Rate master data base;
• Research operating costs and prepare/update customer and agent tariffs as needed;
• On an ad hoc basis during peak periods, vacation & sick leave of Traffic Team members or as required, handle air and sea freight arrangements for all international moves (Outbound) and Transshipment jobs, per the current Company procedures;
• Ensure that customers, both in house and outside, receive efficient and friendly service.
The candidate will ideally meet the following criteria:
1. University graduate with 2 years’ experience in a pricing or freight function of a moving or logistics company;
2. Familiarity with Hong Kong import and export regulations and processes related to household goods shipments;
3. Fluent in spoken and written English and written simplified and traditional Chinese, and spoken Cantonese and Mandarin;
4. Team player with a high regard for quality and ethics;
5. Hands-on PC knowledge (including Microsoft Word & Excel).
