Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Review with Finance, Planners, and Sourcing team to understand the situation and requirements in terms of buy schedule, open to buy, supplier/factory capacity, MOQ and fabric status to optimize the buy plan;
  • Smoothing the projections to mitigate the fluctuations while maintaining the fulfillment rate of demand;
  • Convert the buy plan and confirm the purchase order with correct delivery date, terms, and prices;
  • Track PO progress, responsible for full life cycle PO tracking to ensure accuracy of ex-factory dates and consequently correct supply signals.  Proactively communicate date changes and any quality issues that potentially has a supply chain interruption;
  • Conduct weekly review of supplier production capacity, production schedule and WIP status to ensure proper planning is in place;
  • Closely communication with demand planning team and monitoring the forecast/consumption change, expedite, defer or re-prioritize the production as needed;
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams for necessary fabric booking and raw materials ordering;
  • Proactively identify and address any issues relating to inventory/supply planning, and recommend necessary resolutions to Management;
  • Proactively tracking and manage the back order, increase the flexibility of the supply chain to mitigate the lost sales;
  • Review on any fulfillment discrepancy (date or quantity), reject or approve based on the latest inventory status;
  • Create planning metrics and scorecards;
  • Drive the key supply chain initiatives and strategies in terms of lead-time reduction, on-time improvement, holiday strategy, etc;
  • Review, understand and make recommendations to continuously improve current work processes;
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks / projects as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree  or above in supply chain / inventory management or equivalent;
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' relevant experience in inventory management and/or supply planning.  Prior work experience in MNC/buying office an advantage; 
  • Prior work experience in retail and/or garment business preferred;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good command of written & spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese;
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and MUST be an advanced Excel user;
  • Willingness to perform overseas business travels, when required.
