The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

• Monitor and control day to day security operations delivering by both in-house and contracted teams
• Monitor security contractor performance by selecting and training on-site team members
• Act as shift focal point with Operations Execution and as command for both in-house and contractor teams concerning security issues
• Ensure  proper execution of the terminals’ port facility security plan and the compliance of other security requirements under the ISPS Code and respective legislations
• Investigate security incidents and emergencies occurred in terminal with a view to avoid recurrence and coordinate follow-ups by other departments and technical units regarding such incidents
• Good management of terminal cashier function
• Conduct security training, awareness and education programs
• Assist in planning, monitoring and controlling operational expenses

 The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

• Post secondary education and diploma in security management
• At least 6 years experience in security practices and operations including at least 3 years at supervisory level. Attended a Port Facility Security Officer training course endorsed by HK Marine Department is a definite advantage
• At least 2 years experience in works of ISPS Code compliance and in traffic control duties
• Acquainted with container terminal operations is preferable
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
• Self-motivated and with good leadership skill
• Good negotiation, inter-personal and communication skills
• Valid driving license (Classification codes: 1 & 2) with good driving record
• Willing to perform shift duty
