Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Building Services Engineers in all aspects of supervision of building services work on site including internal and external works within the contracts and the maintenance of site records;
• Assist in the administration of Building Services Inspectors and Works Supervisory grade staff;
• Assist in monitoring labour resources, progress, materials, plants and equipment used on site and in verifying the work completion and payments as claimed by the Contractor/Sub-Contractors;
• Responsible for the upkeep of site documentation including site record books and submission of all monthly returns;
• Assist in checking and reviewing CSD, CBWD, shop drawings and builder’s works drawings, submission schedules, and reports, testing and commissioning procedures, operation and maintenance manuals and as-fitted drawings etc. to ensure the quality and completeness of the drawing and submission deliveries;
• Assist in carrying out routine inspections to building services quality of workmanship, correct material/equipment/plants as installed and work progress against the approved programme;
• Assist in checking samples and related documents, materials and equipment submissions, etc. against contract requirements and make observations and recommendations to the project team;
• Assist in liaising, coordinating and resolving disputes/conflicts with other Contractor, Subcontractors, Utility Companies, Government Departments and FM colleagues, etc. on site matters;
• Assist in inspection and witness the testing and commissioning of building services installations, arranging hand-over to FM and subsequent regular maintenance by Contractors/Sub-contractors during Maintenance Period;
• Assist in monitoring the progress of building services outstanding works and defects rectification works throughout the project; and in preparing defects list for contractor/subcontractors’ rectification;
• Carry out all such other duties as directed by the Project Managers, Project Building Services Engineers and the senior Building Services Staff.

Requirements:-

• MHKIE or equivalent, i.e. Corporate member of a professional institution recognized for corporate membership in the status of registered professional engineer (RPE) of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) in the Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Discipline, or equivalent;
• Grade E or above in English Language (Syllabus B) and in Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate Education Examination (HKCEE) or Level 2 in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE), or equivalent;
• Relevant post-graduation working experience in building services engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
