Calling for multi-faceted talents in the world of Quality!

A European Retailer with its buying office headquartered in Hong Kong is seeking a Quality Manager to join their dynamic team. The company is not only a prominent retailer in Europe, they are also a leading partner of international brands in addition to various well-known department stores.

They are currently looking for an individual that is well-versed in multiple Quality functions (Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Corporate Social Responsibility) with extensive knowledge in wide variety of Hardline products specific to Home and Lifestyle. Key responsibilities will include include:

• Developing, implementing and monitoring an integrated program to assure that quality, safety and regulatory compliance standards

• Leading investigation and troubleshooting of product concerns – implementing corrective action as required. Documents findings and prepares monthly incident reports.

• Implementing and improving internal Quality Assurance system and standards

• Contributing and monitoring progress for robust design, risk analysis, life test on all projects

• Conducting factory QA, QC, and Compliance audits

• Setting up appropriate QC processes (and implementing current processes) and ensure product quality consistency from production quality to factory facilities.

• Reviewing, and ensure understanding of and utilizing appropriate regulations and guidelines to meet requirements and protocols necessary to secure regulatory approval for products and operating procedures

• Developing good relationship with key suppliers in the region and travel extensively to China to visit supplier sites.

• Providing training to Quality Engineers and suppliers on appropriate quality tools

• Developing and maintaining quality checklists, procedures, processes, supporting tools and techniques.

Experience:

• Frequent travel to suppliers’ facilities in primarily China (60% travel) is required

• 7+ years’ experience in relevant QA/QC discipline

• Degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering fields.

• Solid experience and extremely familiar with Home & Lifestyle hardline products (including electrical appliances)

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Strong command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
